She was sick and tired of having to deal with ghosts problems on a regular basis. She had her own issues to deal with. For starters, she had to figure out how to ask her crush out without a ghost popping in. That was the problem. Ghosts. They had bad sense of time and usually didn't know when to take 'I'm busy' for an answer. They're a constant annoyance and I hate it. I never wanted to be able to see them but here we are. I can't exactly change the past. "Are you done having an internal fight over your life?" Her best friend, Sophia asked. Sophia's the only person in this world who knows about my so called ability. If I told my parents, they'd probably ship me off to some nut-house and I would never see her again. I sent a glare towards my best friend before slamming my locker door shut. "For now. But please tell me why dating is impossible?" Alyson said. Of course, she and Mark weren't actually dating but she wanted to take that step and finally grab the courage to ask him out. "Because it is. Now what about that other problem?" She whispered the word other so that only Alyson could hear it. The hallway was bustling with students and if anyone found out she could see the dead, her life would be over. "Oh, you mean the dead guy looming over my shoulder?" Alyson rolled her eyes and pointed behind her, not that it made much of a difference. Sophia couldn't see them. "He won't leave me alone and I don't know what he wants." "He's not talking yet?" "Nope and it's frustrating. It's not like there's a manual on this." Alyson said, as a sigh escaped her lips. "Well, find a way to get him to talk, find out what it is he wants and then he'll leave you alone." As if that were easier said than done. Sophia smiled widly at her friend, before wrapping an arm around her and leading her towards their next class. Before she knew it, the ghost was gone. But it was only temporarly, she knew he would be back. She hoped he would have more to say than staying silent the next time.
